People either laugh or ask me why in the world would I paint a warthog? There are a lot of wonderful wild life artists, but this guy captured my imagination because he is so unusual yet amazing in his own way. Perhaps one would say "he is so ugly that he is cute." Ah, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder! I gave him a oval gold leafed frame to give him some dignity! The size is 26.75" oval v 22.75". Available for $365.00 plus shipping.
A Dignified Warthog Portrait
I paint with high quality archival liquitex acrylics on canvas. I use a limited palette consisting of a warm and cool hue of each of the primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) and Titanium White. There are endless variations of color that can be mixed when using these pure pigments. Paintings on this site come framed. Some have antique frames and some are vintage style. There is an occasional vintage hardwood finished frame which can be viewed clearly in the photo.
Each painting is an original one-of-a-kind creation from Penny Saville Fregeau of Nehemiah's Art Gallery and Studio.
Paintings are shipped from Nehemiah's Art in Fortuna, Northern California.
