This landscape is inspired by reference photos from New Zealand by Andrew Tischler. I enjoyed painting this far away place but also was amazed at the similar landscapes in the region where I live on the North Coast of California. This paintings is a life lesson. Deep Roots Flowing Stream
I paint with high quality archival liquitex acrylics on canvas. I use a limited palette consisting of a warm and cool hue of each of the primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) and Titanium White. There are endless variations of color that can be mixed when using these pure pigments. Paintings on this site come framed. Some have antique frames and some are vintage style. There is an occasional vintage hardwood finished frame which can be viewed clearly in the photo.
